There is more to Kuala Kubu Bharu than meets the eye, particularly if you love the outdoors. This charming town is a favourite weekend getaway because of its natural attractions and activities. After breakfast at Kuala Kubu Bharu, we will venture into the exotic rainforest. Along the way, we will cross rivers and hanging bridges, dip in natural pools and see waterfalls, as well as explore the plants and animals in this lush oasis.
After 2 hours of hiking, we will reach Maya Falls, where the water cascades from a height of 60m, You can take photos, stand under the cooling water, and relax by the magnificent waterfall, before ending your hiking adventure.

Kuala Kubu Bharu is located about 60km from Kuala Lumpur.
Briefing and start trekking
We will start trekking near Kampung Pertak, a village located close to the Selangor Dam. Kampung Pertak is the ancestral home of the indigenous Temuan tribe. There are two river crossings; both are by bridges. There is an uphill trek after that. Along the way, you will notice a few forks in the road, which provides ample opportunities to lose your way. At some point you will hear the Lata Jerbus waterfall, and venture pass giant bamboo trees. It takes 2 hours to reach the refreshing pool of Lata Mecu. Lata Medang is only 200m further upstream.
