Experience the natural and cultural heritage at the Long Semadoh Valley, a hidden paradise in the paddy fields of the Sarawak highlands.

Tucked 3,000ft above sea level in the highlands of Lawas, Long Semadoh Valley is home to the indigenous Lun Bawang people, and spectacular natural beauty. This lesser known valley is graced by lush scenery and rushing streams, along with the warm hospitality of the Lun Bawang villagers. You can only get to this village with guidance from a local expert.

You are invited to join a 5D4N paddy trip into the highlands, for an off-the-beaten-track experience in the hidden paradise of Sarawak.

  • 03:00 PM Depart from Lawas to the village of Long Semadoh Naseb in Long Semadoh Valley

    Arrive in the quaint town of Lawas, Sarawak. Fill your tummy with a simple lunch and begin your journey into the highlands, en route to Long Semadoh Valley. Brave the 5 hours bumpy 4x4 off road ride to arrive at your local homestay. Wind down with dinner and an early night in the village.

  • 09:00 AM Mini tour of Long Semadoh Valley
    Summary
    Trek through history in a 1 hour scenic walk starting from the Long Semadoh airport towards the village of Long Tanid. Discover the story of the Lun Bawang people through remnants of the past.

  • 11:00 AM Brunch by the river (picnic-style) and enjoy a cold dip

    Summary
    Stop over at Long Lidung Village to visit the freshwater river fish conservation centre. This is a community-run project headed by a passionate local, Pak Raut. You get to soak your feet in the river and even get a natural fish spa session!

    - This backpacking/adventure style trip requires an independent spirit and an open mind.
    - Please bring along insect repellent,.
    - Travellers must be in good physical condition without any medical complications.
