Hike and discover the lush beauty of the hidden forest at Batu Ferringhi with Peter.
Apart from the cultural heritage and diverse community in Georgetown, the beauty of nature in Penang is something that you must not miss. This trail starts at the entrance beside a roadside stall, opposite Bayview Hotel Batu Feringgi. Though it may not seem impressive from the entrance, you will be amazed by the wonders in it. A beautiful waterfall will greet you after 10 minutes of walk, and that is only the first sight!
This hike is suitable for all to experience, from 8 years old and above, as the topography of the trip is not steep.
Along the way, enjoy the fresh air and diverse landscape of the waterfall and Batu Feringghi river. Your guide will share his knowledge about the British engineering on site, such as the aqueduct and dam system that supplies drinking water to the nearby neighborhood. Before heading down, take a cooling dip in the river at the upper stream.

Please wear attire suitable for hiking, sport shoes (no sandals allowed), and bring the following items:
- a bottle of drinking water
- towel
- swimsuit
- extra set of clothes (to change after swimming in river)
- mosquito repellent
You are allowed to reschedule the hike for another day, in case it rains on the day you booked.
Be watchful of your steps while hiking. As this area is a water catchment area, high level of humidity will cause certain parts of the trail to be slippery.
