When one thinks of Genting Highlands, the first thing that comes to mind is the casino, but there is a lot more that Genting Highlands has to offer other than the casino, hotels, malls and cable cars. The forest around Genting Highlands is still home to an amazing array of flora and fauna.
Come see the pitcher plants of Genting Highlands: Nepenthes sanguinea, Nepenthes macfarlanei, Nepenthes ramispina and the natural hybrids of all three. They come in a huge variety of colours, from green to yellow, red, pink, black, mottled or plain.
The lower montane forest of Genting Highlands is also home to a large diversity of reptiles and amphibians such as the Malayan Gliding Frog, Saffron-bellied Frog, South Titiwangsa Bent-toed Gecko and Siamese Pit Viper. So lets embark on a nightwalk to see these creatures in their natural habitat.
On the very next day, we will go on a short 30-minute hike to see the refreshing waterfalls at Lata Kedondong and head home after lunch at Gohtong Jaya.
This trip is family-friendly.
