Learn survival skills and Orang Asli traditions with Encik Raman, the Semai gentleman.
There are 18 Orang Asli tribes in Peninsular Malaysia, each with their own set of customs, beliefs and traditions.
Before entering the jungle school, you will learn about the culture of the Orang Asli at the museum. You will then trek into the main site, with a few stops to learn about the flora and fauna.
At the Jungle School, you will learn to build a day-shelter using ‘bertam’ leaves, as well as how to start a fire using wood. You will also take part in a mini blowpipe competition and try solving a puzzle.
For lunch, you will enjoy a traditional meal of rice, chicken, fish and vegetables cooked in bamboo.
